Father’s Day is fast approaching, to gain more insight on why we should be celebrating and appreciating the millions and millions of fathers out there, we want to share some facts and figures about dads and Father’s day.

1. Being a single parent is difficult. While single parents are dominated by single mothers, single fathers still account for 2 million of the single parents last year.
2. There are over 15,000 hardware stores around this country.  If your father is a handy person, there are plenty of places to choose from to purchase a gift of handy tools.
3. IN 2013, there are slightly over 210,000 stay at home dads in the United States caring for over 430,000 children, and it is becoming a growing trend for fathers to stay home as well.
4. Not to say children loves their mother more, but Americans spend 41% more on Mother’s Day than Father’s Day according to Wall Street Journal.

All dads should be appreciated whether they are single parents, stay at home dads, or one that fixes all the problems around the house. The fact that we are spending drastically more on Mother’s day is a reminder for us to show more appreciation for our fathers, not through spending more money, but by loving them them more.
